The ring features an opal my Dad chose for mum on his travels through the White Cliffs region, NSW which I set in an 18ct yellow gold bezel with a hand forged rose gold band. It was such a treat to design and make a special piece especially for my mum, Hilda, to signify this milestone birthday. She deserves all the beautiful things in the world for being such a giving and generous mother who always believed in and encouraged my creativity. Lara had a vision for her dream sapphire, we wanted something dark and inky with a rich green hue. It took some searching to find the perfect stone but I was able to source this stunning gem from one of my amazing local suppliers. The entire process was such a joy, I often sit at my bench making these beautiful creations and counting myself lucky that I get to do this everyday!
